I don’t understand the connection between cream and diabetes. Diabetes is a problem with sugar levels.
If she’s getting spayed next month, just ask the vet. You’d get a more valid answer than from here.

Excessive thirst and ********* are main symptoms of diabetes in dogs as well as constant bad breath and unexplained weight loss.

I don’t think your dog has diabetes.. But check for these symptoms…Drinks alot of water, always tired…Goes into shock…

If your are really concerned have a Vet check the dogs blood sugar

Watch for your dog drinking a lot and having to go out and use the bathroom more than normal. It shouldn’t have anything to do with getting spayed they surgery should go on as planned with no complications.

The very first symptom I noticed is that my dog started drinking a lot of water. I mean a lot of water. Then she would take a full 30 seconds to urinate. She would *** a large amount and quite often. Then she started losing weight. Her ribs were showing and she was getting skinnier. I got her to the vet before she had further problems and got her on 2X daily insulin shots. We battled the diabetes for 10 months before she died.

The same symptoms as humans, extreme thirst, frequent urination, weight loss or gain. Ask your Vet to check her blood glucose, and you will have a quick answer to your worries. And Thank-You for being responsible, and having her spayed!!!!

Just about all dogs love ice cream, and it certainly has nothing to do with diabetes. Excessive drinking is a sign of diabetes. If you’re really concerned, the vet can do a blood test to confirm whether she is diabetic or not.

Having her spayed is a very good idea, she will be less liable to develop certain types of cancer. Good for you!

Symptoms of diabetes include excessive drinking and ********* (not dissimilar to signs of kidney trouble). Also occasional bouts of lethargy as blood sugar levels go up and down. You can get your vet to do a fairly inexpensive blood test to check for this when she’s spayed.

My guess however is that your dog is not diabetic – I mean, who doesn’t love cream! I’d limit the cream intake if I were you, it’s more likely to cause diarrhoea, and 95% likely to cause obesity!

I JUST HAD ONE OF MY FRIENDS DOGS DIE OF DIABETES…HE WAS ALWAYS ON THE THIN SIDE FOR A CHIHUAHUA…HAD VERY BAD TEETH BUT THE ONE THING THAT I NOTICED THE MOST WAS THE AMOUNT OF FOOD HE ATE WITH WEIGHT LOSS. AND HE DRANK LOTS OF WATER.. WE DID A BLOOD TEST ON HIM AND FOUND THE HIGH SUGAR LEVEL HE DIED 5 WEEKS AGO..HE WAS 3 YEARS OLD–VET SAID THAT WAS REALLY YOUNG FOR DIABETES.
