Monday, September 21st, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedDo you ever think about anything sweet when it comes to beauty tips? I like to have a chocolate facial every once in a while. Then there are the many different sugar scrubs and spice wraps.
All that stuff tends to be expensive. I paid 150 dollars at my last spa visit, and I didn’t even get the full massage. Fortunately, there are a lot of ways to give yourself the same sweet treatments at home. The main ingredient for these mouthwatering facials and masques? It’s honey.
Read below for a few in-home uses for honey that will leave you feeling luscious and wonderful in no time:
* Honey Beauty Tip #1: Make use of bubbles - By adding a cup of honey to your bubble bath, you can make your skin so very smooth. Use a loofah to exfoliate while you’re in there and you will have extra creamy and glowing skin. Add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder and feel just like Cleopatra, who used milk baths to keep her skin clear. When you use edible products in your bath, you must make sure to rinse down very well afterwards.
* Beauty Tips With Honey #2: Use a few different layers. - A really great egg white masque can be made by whipping egg whites, a tablespoon of honey and a tad bit of flour or unsweetened cocoa together until they make a thick paste. Heat your skin with a hot cloth for 3 minutes to open up your pores. Smooth the mask over your face. Let it dry for ten minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and admire your fresh, youthful skin.
* Beauty Tips Using Honey #3: Create your own silky-skin toner. - Place a half cup of honey, 2 cups of buttermilk and a half cup of rosewater in an air-tight container. If you have a Tupperware with a screw-on lid, it will work perfect. Shake it up until its blended together well. You will end up with a mixture that is quite runny and cloudy in color. You may then apply it with a cotton ball and your skin will be beautiful and toned.
The best honey should be used for these treatments. You just need a good sized jar of organic honey, which is less than 20 dollars, that hasn’t been treated with chemicals or preservatives. This jar of honey will get your through months of these beauty tips.
