Last week, I have noticed a few odd things…
I’m always thirsy, and constantly have to go to the bathroom. I am also always tired and I’ve lost five pounds in the past few days. My mom thinks it may be anemia, because she has it, too. Could this be possible? Are these early warning signs for diabetes?

They may be signs of diabetes. There is only one way to find out for sure — the doctor’s office.

These can most definitely be signs of diabetes, especially if blurry vision is thrown into the mix. However, your mom may also be right about anemia, because it presents with some of the same signs and symptoms. The only way to know for sure is to go see your doctor and have him do some blood work. In between times, it might be to your benefit to go get a glucose meter and check your sugars yourself, just to see where you stand. It can help your doctor determine what to do next. Hope this helps!

Seems to be . Diabetes often goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless. Recent studies indicate that the early detection of diabetes symptoms and treatment can decrease the chance of developing the complications of diabetes.
Some diabetes symptoms include:
Frequent *********
Excessive thirst
Extreme hunger
Unusual weight loss
Increased fatigue
Irritability
Blurry vision
If you have one or more of these diabetes symptoms, see your doctor right away.

When the blood sugar (glucose) in your body is too high, you develop diabetes. There are three types of diabetes and they are known as type 1 and type 2 and gestational diabetes.
What Is The Normal Level Of Blood Sugar And How Is It Formed?
The normal level of blood sugar should be about 70 to 120.
Glucose is formed from the food we eat and is essential for our body’s functioning; the blood then carriers the glucose to all the cells in our body. The pancreas creates and releases insulin (which is a chemical and hormone) into the blood which helps the glucose from the food to get into our cells. If the body does not create enough insulin or if the reaction of insulin/glucose fails, the body cannot get the glucose to the cells which, in turn raises the blood sugar and causes diabetes.
The Normal Symptoms Of Having High Blood Sugar Are:
* Being constantly very thirsty
* ********* much more often then one normally does
* Feeling tired more then usual
* Feeling hungry more then usual
* Having sores that do not heal quickly
* Having dry, itchy skin
* Losing the feeling in your feet or having a tingling sensation
* Having blurry eyesight
If you usually have some of these symptoms and may not be sure if they are normal; consult your doctor immediately for a blood sugar control which will determine if you are in danger of having diabetes or not.
